Fort Worth artist Jon Lippens, a native of Belgium, had his early training in the fine arts of Europe. In 1952, at the age of twenty-five, Jon moved to Texas and settled in Fort Worth. There he trained in the field of visual communication and commercial art, after which he became an illustrator, art editor, and then art director. During this time, he has produced oil and watercolor paintings, pen and ink, and pencil drawings. His works vary from rugged western themes and historical sites to picturesque scenery of New England. They can be described as conservative with realism in a traditional style. Since coming to this country the value of John's paintings have risen steadily and are in great demand by galleries and private collectors across the United States. |
